Linda M. Ruhlander, 66, of Battle Ground, passed away at 5:44 AM, Friday, June 23, 2017 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette.

She was born July 29, 1950 in Lafayette to the late Ralph A. and E. Sue (Wall) Richardson. She was a 1968 graduate of Battle Ground High School. She later attended Lafayette Beauty Academy where she received her Beautician License.

Her marriage was to Jim Ruhlander on October 11, 1970 in Lafayette. He survives.

Linda was a lifelong resident of the Battle Ground area. She worked as a beautician out of her and Jim’s home for more than 46 years.

Linda enjoyed spending time with their many pets over the years, fishing, and spending time with family. She was very kind hearted and will be greatly missed.

Surviving along with her husband are daughters, Christina (Travis) Fortner of Lafayette, and Casey (Davin) Clausen of Veedersburg, IN; step-son, David (Tracy) Eylens of Americus, IN. Also surviving is a sister, Lisa (David) Rutherford of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Levi Fortner, Shea Fortner, Cadence Clausen, and Wyatt Clausen.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are siblings, Beverly Rush, and Steve Richardson.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 11 AM (EST) at Battle Ground Cemetery.

In, lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Almost Home Humane Society, or the Wildlife Sanctuary of Camden, IN.
