Lucille Large, 73, of Kentland, passed away at 12:25 AM, June 1, 2017 at Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer, IN. She was born January 17, 1944 in Monongalia County, WV to the late Orb Lee and Ester (Ramey) Sparks. She graduated from Morgantown High School, Morgantown, WV.

                                       

Her marriage was to Burl Large on December 10, 1963 in Kansas City, MO. He survives. Lucille lived most of her life in Kansas City and moved to Kentland in 2006. Lucille was an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service for several years, and was an EMT at Prairie Township, Missouri. Lucille was honored as the Firefighter Wife of the Year for 2 years in Lake Lotawana, MO. She loved bowling and enjoyed watching and participating in sports.

 

Surviving along with her husband are two sons, James (RosAnne) Large of Kentland, and William (Alicia) Large of Lake Lotawana, MO; brother, Earnest Sparks Sr. of Martinsburg, WV. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Preceding her in death along with her parents are two brothers and two sisters.

 

Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM (CST) Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Pastor Clint Fink to officiate. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery of Kentland.

 

Memorial donations may be made in Lucille's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
