Leona G. Rogers, 79, lifelong resident of Monon, passed away at 12:53 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette.

She was born April 10, 1937 in White County, IN to the late Ottis and Mary Kate (Rountree) Pardue. She was a 1955 graduate of Reynolds High School.

 

Her Marriage was to John D. Rogers on June 26, 1960 in Monon at the First Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2012. Leona attended the Monon United Methodist Church.

 

She enjoyed spending her time crafting, sewing, working on puzzles, coloring, watching movies on Television, and spending time with her family.

 

Leona is survived by her brothers, Leroy (Betty) Pardue of Monon, IN and Richard (Linda) Pardue of Union Mills, IN. She is also survived by her 19 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are siblings, James Rollie Pardue, Marvin Pardue, Pauline Sinks, and Bernice Meiser.

 

Friends may call from 9 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service at 11 AM (EST), Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Rev. Russ Alley to officiate. Interment to follow in Bedford Cemetery.
