Stephen E. Zink, 65, of Brookston, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1950 in Lafayette to John F. Zink and Bernice L. (Thoennes) Zink. He was a 1970 graduate of Lafayette Central Catholic High School. Stephen served in the United States Army.

His marriage was to Cathy (Plantenga) Zink on April 16, 1989. She survives. Stephen worked for Fairfield in Lafayette for over 30 years, retiring in 2011.

Stephen enjoyed spending his time fishing, mushroom hunting, ESPN's Mike & Mike, Indianapolis Colts, and Purdue Boilermakers.

Surviving along with his wife Cathy are sisters, Connie Arnold of Lafayette, IN, and Sarah "Sally" Yancey also of Lafayette. He is preceded in death by a brother, Tony Zink.
