David D. Elmore, 81, of Brookston passed away at 8:45 pm, January 6, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette, IN.

 

He was born January 3, 1935 to the late Fred and Rosie (Collins) Elmore. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1953 and joined the United States Army and served from 1953-1956. He then went on to graduate with a BSEE in 1963 from Purdue University.

 

His marriage was to Nancy Salomon on November 7, 1955 in Monticello, IN. She survives.

 

David was an electrical engineer with Duncan Electric and later worked at GE in Somersworth NH.

 

Surviving along with his wife Nancy are children, Jill (Nelson) Ayala of Fort Wayne, Jim (Donna) Elmore of PA, Jack (Betsy) Elmore of Hannibal MO, and Jennifer (Bruce) Westerhoff of St. Charles, IL, and a sister Sherry (Mike) Dickison of Monticello.
