Mike G. Luck, 58, of Remington, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette, IN. He was born June 1, 1957 in Lafayette to Jack and Judy (Bell) Luck. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1975 and attended Saint Joseph's College of Rensselaer. His marriage was to Lori Claton on September 26, 1981. He later married Larisa Luck on June 1, 2007. Mike was a member of the Sons of American Legion of Remington, Tri-County Athletic Hall of Fame, and also was a member of the Saint Joseph's College baseball team. Mike joined his father Jack, in operating Luck Express in Remington. Before Luck Express, he was employed for a short time at Remington Freight Line. Mike enjoyed bowling, the St. Louis Cardinals, golfing, Indiana University Athletics, riding his bike, and hiking. Most of all Mike was a Christian man who loved spending time with his family. Surviving along with his parents are children, Michael (Kara) Luck of Wolcott; Dotti (Nathan) Foley of Lafayette; Christian (Jenny McKnight) Luck of Lafayette; and a step daughter, Elena (Tim) VanderPlaats of Lafayette. Also surviving is a sister, Luanne Luck of Remington; grandchildren, Hayden Foley, Grace Luck, Carter Foley, Aubrie Luck, and Sophia VanderPlaats. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ray and Cleora Bell; paternal grandparents Ray and Claudia Luck. Funeral Service 11:00 AM (EST) Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Remington First Christian Church. Pastor Randy Sparks, Pastor Ted Brust, and Rev. Michael Lindsey to officiate.
