Mary Lou McCormick, 88, of Kentland died at 5:00 am, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her home. She was born February 7, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, IL to the late Levie and Minnie (Vanderhuff) Tarr. She attended and graduated High School in Allendale, IL. On June 26, 1966 Mary Lou married the love of her life, William Charles McCormick. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2012. She resided in Kentland for most of her life but had also lived in Monticello and Goodland. She was a member of the Kentland Lion's Club and was active in the Democratic Party and volunteered during elections. She was also a South Newton Music Booster. Mary Lou was owner operator of the West Video Grill. She loved to cook as well as garden and she loved flowers. She also enjoyed bird watching. She is survived by 2 sons, Billy (Michelle) McCormick and Rex (Joanne) McCormick both of Kentland; 1 brother, Chuck (Frieda) Tarr of Bridgeport, IL; 5 grandchildren, Brad McCormick, Tracey Robbins, Stacey Risky, Beelee Jo McCormick, Storme Reynolds; and 10 great grandchildren.
