Donna J. Reffeitt, 78, of Lafayette, formerly a lifetime resident of Ft. Wayne, died at her home on April 4, 2015. She was born April 2, 1937 in Vermillion County, Illinois to the late John and Ruby (Millikan) Bunch. She attended Danville High School, Danville, IL. She married the love of her life Jack E. Reffeitt in Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2009. Donna was a homemaker and exceptional cook. She enjoyed cooking for her family and neighbors, she never met a stranger and everyone was welcome at her dining room table. She enjoyed bird watching and feeding the birds and squirrels and she offered a home to the stray cats in her neighborhood. She also enjoyed decorating her house, but above all she adored her grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them. Her family was her life and Donna will be dearly, dearly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (David) Brown of Missouri, a son, Michael (Carolyn) Reffeitt of Lafayette; 4 grandchildren, Naomi and Jack Brown of Missouri and Corey and Jill Reffeitt of Lafayette; 3 sisters, Kathy Clark, Molly Ferrill, and Sally Bloomfield; 2 brothers, John and Don Bunch; 2 sister-in-laws, Mary (Fred) Struhbar, Phyllis Rogers and a brother-in-law, William Reffeitt. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Lawrence; a brother, Willie Bunch; 2 sister-in-laws, Helen Taylor and Jody Engel; and a brother-in-law, James Reffeitt. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name to a Humane Society of the donor's choice.
