Doris Kathleen Blount, 68, of Valparaiso, formerly of Monon, died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso. She was born February 23, 1946 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Alexander & Helen (Hoffman) LaDuct and was a graduate of Pioneer High School class of 1964. Her marriage was to Charles Blount on January 16, 1965 White County. He died November 1, 2006. Mrs. Blount was a homemaker for most of her life and loved to spend time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time crocheting and watching television game shows. She also worked at Burger King and Rensselaer Health Care as a CNA. Surviving are two sons, Charles Blount Jr. (wife: Debra) of Valparaiso and Kristopher Blount (wife: Heather) of White County and her siblings, Judith McIntire (husband: Fred), Jennifer Carlson (husband: Rick), Kenneth "Sam" LaDuct (wife: Sylvia) and Nancy Morris (husband: Vernon). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Tabitha (Mike), Eric, Travis (Ashley), Dakotah (Lauren), Bethanie, and Sarah and her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Aliyah, Alexis, Ashlyn, Travis Jr. and Mikayla. Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are siblings, Jane Harcar, Fred LaDuct, Carol Miller and Rose Anderson and a grandson, Bradley Blount.
