Arnold G. Shepherd 64, of Remington, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Arnold was born on July 18,1950. He was the son of the late Harold and Doris (Burling) Shepherd. He graduated in 1968 from Remington High School. Arnold was a lifelong resident and farmer of Remington. He enjoyed gardening and canning every year. He was also a member on the town board of Remington for over twenty years. In 1981 Arnold married Candace Timchak in Beech Grove, Indiana and she survives. Also surviving are two sons. Christopher (Wife: Shanna) of Remington, and Stephen (Wife: Amber) of Rensselaer, two grandchildren, Tatum and Zander. Also surviving are two brothers Melvin (Wife: Lisa) of Grand Haven, Michigan and Larry (Wife: Mary) of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preceding him in death with his parents is a sister, Lorretta (Shepherd) Harris. Friends may call from 4-8pm, Monday, September 15, 2014 at Remington United Methodist Church, of Remington. Funeral service will be at 11am, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Remington United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary van Wijk officiating.
