Sylvia "June" Vore, 80, of West Lafayette, entered eternal life at 2:10 am, Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette. She was born on June 9, 1934 in Anderson, IN to the late Elton Livingston and Sylvia Vera (Farlow) St. John. Her marriage of 60 years was to Mont Vore on January 16, 1954 and he survives. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Purdue University Office of International Students and Scholars, before retiring in 1999. June was a member of the University Lutheran Church and was a strong Christian woman. She loved witnessing her faith and teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed sewing clothing and spending time with her family, especially cherishing her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving with her husband are her three children, Julia Barton (husband: James) of West Lafayette, Michael Vore (wife: Gloria) of Glendale, AZ, and David Vore (wife: Marilyn) of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 9:30 am until the time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the auditorium of the MacArthur Building at the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette, with Pastor Jim Barton officiating.
