Joyce Eileen Thomas Bentley, from Lafayette, Indiana passed away suddenly March 3, 2014. She was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on January 3, 1934 to Charles Edgar and Myrtle Irene Wade Thomas. She is preceded in death by former husband, Sheldon "Dink" Bentley, her parents Charles and Myrtle Thomas and her sisters and brothers: Dorothy Thomas; Ruth Thomas Hammon; Evelyn Thomas Krumanaker; Laura Belle Thomas Lucas; Florence Thomas Benner; Marjorie Thomas Wise; Virginia Thomas; Frances Thomas Leckrone; Charles Thomas; Phyllis Thomas Hill Krull; Glenna Thomas Wead; Edgar Thomas; and Kenneth Thomas. She is survived by her sister Weltha Thomas Boedigheimer, (Sidney, Ohio) and numerous nieces and nephews across the country. Mrs. Bentley was a retired teacher and librarian and was actively involved with the Friends of the Tippecanoe Public Library, the Tippecanoe/Benton/Carroll Retired Teachers Association, and the Theta Chapter. Celebration of Life' open house to be held, Friday, April 11, 2014, from 1PM-4PM at the Morton Community Center in W Lafayette, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to your local library in her honor.
