Garry N. Hixson, 75, of Kentland, died at 8:45 am, Friday, March 21, 2014 at George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center of Brook. He was born September 12, 1938 in Milford, IL to Al L. and Maxine (Gingerich) Hixson. He graduated from Milford H.S. in 1956 and went on to serve in the United States Army for 3 years. His marriage of 53 years was to Lyn Lehmann on September 23, 1960, she survives. Garry had been a resident of Kentland for the past 42 years. He was the manager of Dormeyers Industries in Kentland for several years before owning and operating a machine shop in Wolcott for 22 years, supplying parts for Subaru of Lafayette. He enjoyed his cats and his work. Surviving with his wife are his three children; Michael Hixson (wife: Krista) of West Lafayette, Brad Hixson of Kentland, and Beth Berry (husband: Bryan) of Fowler; and his twin brother, Larry Hixson of Clifton, IL. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jordan Berry, Kali O'Dell (husband: John), Brittany Hixson, Cody Lawson, and Michaela and Konnor Hixson.
