Casey Nicole Hardebeck, 25, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at her residence. She was born June 22, 1988 in Lafayette to Tim Hardebeck and Susan Taggart. She graduated from Harrison High School in 2007. She was a certified property adjuster at Remington Farmers Mutual. Casey enjoyed writing poetry, all types of arts and crafts, working with salt water aquariums, and taking care of her beloved dogs, Denver, Oliver, and Maxx, who meant the world to her. She cherished spending time with her friends and was always the first person to help someone in need. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her parents, Tim Hardebeck of Monticello and Susan Taggart of West Lafayette; a sister, Mischel Hardebeck of West Lafayette; half-sister and half-brother, Alyx Hardebeck and Dustin Hardebeck, both of Monticello; maternal grandfather, William "Bill" Taggart of Wolcott; paternal grandparents, Robert "Bob" and Carol Hardebeck of Monticello, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding her in death is her maternal grandmother, Delores "Dee" Taggart. Private family services to be held at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Memorials may be made to the Casey Hardebeck Memorial Fund to be used for good in her name.
