Mary E. Blankman Rardon died peacefully Sunday, March 24, at Heritage Healthcare. Mary was born in 1933 on Easter Sunday to August H. and Florence Childers Blankman. She was raised in Benton County along with three brothers, Art (Dorothy), Don (Jeanette) and Jack (Yvonne) and two sisters, Lois (John Snyder) and Helen (Ed Owens), and graduated from Oxford High School. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and remained faithful throughout her life. In 1953 she married Gene P. Rardon who passed away in 2003, just short of their 50th anniversary. Mary and Gene raised four children, Kevin P. (Angie) of Garberville, California, Lynn (Junior) Minth of West Lafayette, Sean P. (Dawn) of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and M. Beth of Brookston. Mary spent many years as a homemaker/mother before beginning her career as a bookkeeper. Her life's journey found her living in Lafayette, Tacoma, Washington, Brookston and Mesa, Arizona. Her interests were varied, but none was more dear to her than her love of books and reading. Surviving family includes her children, two of her brothers, ten grandchildren, Randi, Nicole, Amber, Casey, Kelsey, Kaity, Jesse, Tara, Samantha & Tony. She was "GG" to five great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caring staff at Heritage Healthcare and IU Hospice as well as the comfort provided by Father Klemme.
