Margaret L. "Granny" Morgan, 71, of Remington, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1941 in Wadena, Indiana to the late William and Linnie (Gillan) Zollman. Her marriage was to Wayne Morgan on November 30, 1991 at Fowler Christian Church in Fowler. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2005. Margaret worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years as a sales clerk. Prior to that, she was the first firewoman for the Remington Volunteer Fire Department from 1985-1988. She also worked as an EMT for the Southern Jasper County Ambulance Service. She enjoyed caring for her flower garden, her dogs and her cats. Surviving are five children; Carolyn Lanie (husband: Dave) of Wolcott, Duane Loughry (wife: Stoney) of Wolcott, Amy Moore (husband: Carl) of Wolcott, Paula Martin (husband: Mike) of Remington and Paul Minick of Greencastle, two step-children; Roxanne Byrd (husband: Jeff) of Remington and Pam Morgan, two sisters; Ruth Pritchett of Fowler and Patty Burton of Fowler, and one brother; Harold Zollman (wife: Colleen) of Hope, Indiana. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Marvin, Jack and Donald Zollman. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. (EDT) Thursday, June 7, 2012 also at the funeral home with Father Thomas Fox officiating. Interment to follow at Remington Cemetery.
