Carol L. Tarver, 64, of Monon, died at 12:06 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Seton Specialty Hospital of Lafayette. She was born May 6, 1947 to the late Estol and Vivian(Ford)Hall. She attended Jasper County schools. Her first marriage was to Larry Cobligh and her second marriage was to Steve Tarver. They both preceded her in death. Carol helped her parents at the Forge in Remington, which they owned and operated and she later farmed and raise cattle. She started playing music at the age of four, and could play anything with keys, she was especially good at playing the organ and the accordion. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Ohma Halsema of Lafayette, and two cousins, Jim Medley (wife: Sally) of Crawfordsville and Judy Siver of North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Wolcott United Methodist Church.
