James "Jim" R. Sajban, 62, of Lafayette, formerly of Kentland, passed away at 4 p.m., March 1, 2012 in Lafayette. He was born May 6, 1949 in Moline, Illinois to the late George Sajban and Evelyn (Curtis) Sajban.. His marriage was to Ruth Petersen on July 5, 1969. She survives. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Goodland, Kentland Rotary, and Sugar Creek Bass Masters. He had worked in the banking industry for 30 years. Jim enjoyed bass fishing, boating, and traveling with his family. Surviving with his wife and mother are his three children: Beth Anderson (husband: Tony) of Noblesville, Wendy Laffoon (husband: Dave) of Goodland, and Matthew Sajban of San Francisco, CA; and brother, Ron Sajban (wife: Dianne) of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and his beloved dogs, Katie and Alice. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 (CST) Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Goodland, IN. Pastor Dave Mueller to officiate. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Goodland and to the American Cancer Society.
