Bernice A. Jeffers, 74, of Remington, passed away at 5:17 pm, March 1, 2012 at her home. She had been failing health for several years. She was born May 12, 1937 in Rensselaer to Louis and Mary (Taylor) Zeigler. She attended school in Remington. Her marriage was to William K. Jeffers on March 11, 1961 in Shelby, Indiana. He survives. Bernice worked at the Remington Café, DeKalb, Remington Seed, and Silver Lane. She enjoyed her flowers, Springtime, and particularly enjoyed Christmas. She also loved to go fishing. Surviving with her husband are two sons, Kenny Lee Jeffers and Ralph Louis Jeffers; two grandsons, Brandon Scott Jeffers and Chris L. Jeffers; and one great-grandson, Robert Jeffers. Also surviving are two sisters, Rose Mary Zimmerman and Betty Hoover; and one brother, Joe Zeigler. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2012 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Remington. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home. Rev.
