Edward Wilson Bellows, 95, of West Lafayette, formerly of Remington, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette. He was born December 26, 1915 in Remington to the late Edward Dunbar and Ona (Wilson) Bellows. He graduated from Remington High School in 1934. His marriage was to Dorothy Hicks on January 15, 1944 at the Methodist Church Parsonage in Remington. She survives. Wilson was a lifetime member of Remington United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Methodist Men's Organization. He farmed his whole life until retiring in 1977. He enjoyed spending time with his family and yard work. Surviving with his wife is one daughter, Janet Biddle (husband: Bill) of West Lafayette, one son, Ed Bellows (wife: Sandra) of Hendersonville, TN and one sister, Charlotte Stoikowitz of Sierra Madre, California. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Holly Kunkel (husband: Scott) of Brentwood, TN, Erin Morales (husband: Jason) and Allison Tucker (husband: Jonathon) both of Nashville, TN, two grandsons, Bryce Biddle (wife: Kelli) of Remington and Stephen Biddle (wife: Jill) of Carmel and twelve great-grandchildren, Ella, Laurel, Caroline and Quinn Kunkel, Madeline and Isabel Morales, Wilson and Estella Tucker, Audrey and Blake Biddle and Adelyn and Beckham Biddle. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Stokes. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. (EST) Friday, December 2, 2011 at Remington United Methodist Church. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. (EST) Saturday, December 3, 2011 also at Remington United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary van Wijk officiating. Interment to follow at Remington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Remington United Methodist Church or Cumberland Pointe Activity Fund.
