John T. Givens, 77, of West Lafayette, died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette. He was born on October 14, 1934 in Lexington, Kentucky, He served in the United States Air Force from February 8, 1952 to February 7, 1956. He was a resident of the Indiana Veterans Home since 1992 and had many friends there. John is survived by his dear friends John and Janice Rice of West Lafayette. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel with Father Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Interment to follow at the Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery.
