Wayne D. Siebenthal, 77, of Remington, died at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Jasper County Hospital of Rensselaer. He was born January 7, 1934 in Wolcott to the late Robert and Esther (Wieland) Siebenthal. He graduated from Gilboa High School. His marriage was to Carolyn Washburn on April 28, 1955 in Remington. She survives. Mr. Siebenthal retired from FBI Buildings after working there 25 years. He attended the Apostolic Christian Church of Remington, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, making yard signs for various sports to recognize Tri-County athletes, fishing and birdwatching. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Susie Benner (husband: Mick) and Jacquie Cunningham (husband: Mark) both of Remington, a sister, Sharon Justice (husband: Jim) and a brother Orlan Siebenthal (wife: Janet) both of West Lafayette. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Adam (wife:Crystal), Rodney (wife: Trisha) and Riley Benner and Clay and Zach Cunningham, and six great-grandchildren, Paige, Reid, Blair, Blake, Carly and Avery Benner. He was preceded in death by an infant brother. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. (EDT) Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Remington Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) Saturday, July 30, 2011 with one hour of calling prior, at the Remington Apostolic Christian Church with the Ministers of the Church officiating. Interment to follow at Remington Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Tri-County Athletics, American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.
