Lorrene F. Clauss Schieler, 89, of Remington, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home of Francesville. She was born May 28, 1921 in Fairbury, Illinois to the late Henry and Anna (Meister) Leonhardt. Her first marriage was to Marvin Clauss in 1954 in Fairbury, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1978. She then married A. Harold Schieler in December of 1986 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1998. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Remington, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and traveling. Surviving are two sons; Thomas Clauss of Remington, and Rex Clauss (wife: Tammy) of Rensselaer. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Jeff Clauss (wife: Rachel) of Pontiac, Illinois, Erica (husband: Kerry) Kingman of Rensselaer, Kylie (husband: Todd) Forney of Valparaiso, and Abby Clauss of Lafayette, and seven great-grandchildren; Bryce, Hayley, and Tyler Kingman, Lola and Harper Forney, and Brittany and Micah Clauss. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Remington Apostolic Christian Church with the Ministers of the Church officiating. Interment to follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Remington. Memorial donations may be made in Lorrene's name to Parkview Haven Retirement Home.
