Beverly "Bev" Ann Butler Giroux, 79, of Sheldon, IL, died at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Watseka Health Care Center of Watseka, IL. She was born May 28, 1931 in Watseka, IL to the late Steve and Fern (Kelly) Butler. She attended Sheldon schools. Her marriage was to Lester Leo Giroux and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed people and playing bingo. Surviving is a son, Vernon Giroux of Cissna Park, IL; a stepson, Larry Giroux (wife: Donna) of Lafayette, IN; and her special neighbor, Corrine Scott of Sheldon, IL. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Chad Giroux, Brad Giroux, and Trisha Berry; and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband is a son, Leo Giroux. Friends may call from 12 p.m. (CST) until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland, IN. Interment to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland. Memorials may be made to the ARC of Iroquois County, the American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society.
