Bonnie Whaley, 89, of Lowell, Indiana, died at 9:13 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. She was born March 8, 1921 in Onargo, Illinois to the late Otto and Viola Kincaid. She graduated from Onargo High School. Her marriage was to Harold Whaley Jr. in September 1958, in Remington, Indiana. He survives. She lived in Lowell most of her life, where she was a homemaker. She had also lived in Brook. She enjoyed cooking, as well as reading new cookbooks, she also enjoyed fishing and watching television. Surviving with her husband are four sons, Steve Whaley of Lowell, Bob Hornickel (wife: Cathy) of Kentland, Gary Hornickel (wife: Laura) of Decatur, IL, and John Hornickel of Redondo Beach, CA. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Hornickel, and a sister, Rosie Gibson. Friends may call from 12 (noon) - 2pm, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Interment to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Kentland.
