Mary "Betty" King, 86, of Van Wert, Ohio, formerly of Battle Ground, died Friday, July 2, 2010 in Van Wert County Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1924 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Oscar and Cora May Steele Smith. Her first marriage was to Thomas Lock, he preceded her in death on July 17, 1972. She later married Orval Lee King, he died December 16, 1994. Ms. King was a bank teller for many years and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed attending church and singing. Surviving is a sister, Juanita Shockley of Indianapolis. Preceding her in death with her husbands are two sisters, Rose "Janet" Henwood and Margaret Long.
