Dorothea "Dorothy" Iris McEwan, 84, a lifetime resident of Sheldon, Illinois, died at 1:40 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at George Ade Memorial Health Care in Brook. Born March 13, 1926 in Parish Grove, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Dunn Donahue. She was a 1944 graduate of Raub High School. Her marriage was to George McEwan on January 15, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2009. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed staying in touch with her childhood friends and family and was an animal lover. Surviving is her daughter, Cindy McEwan of Louisville, Kentucky. Preceding her in death with her husband and parents is a sister, Edna McAlexander, and a bother, Leo Donahue.
