Catherine "Cathy" M. Warthan, 37, of Lafayette, died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on October 21, 1972 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Lillian Warthan and the late David Warthan. She was a 1992 graduate of Delphi High School. Catherine was a homemaker and a volunteer worker assisting handicap children. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 796. Catherine enjoyed camping, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. Surviving with her mother is a brother, Steven Warthan (wife: Kathy "Katie) of Delphi; a sister, April Warthan (companion: Kerry Montgomery) of Lafayette; and a step-sister, Teresa Lidy (husband: Jay) of Peru. Also surviving are 2 nephews, Steven and Robby; 1 niece, Angelica; a step-niece, Jennifer; and her special friend Paul Lovell. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. (tonight) Friday, November 13, 2009 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston.
