MONON Jackie L. Johnson, 63, of Monon, died at 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Monticello. Born Nov. 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Ova Paul and Mildred Mae Raines Johnson. On Nov. 21, 1994, he married Rosie M. Ferrell in Monticello, and she survives. Mr. Johnson worked mowing yards, collecting aluminum cans and washing dishes at restaurants. He was a member of the Fowler Baptist Church, and was a former member of the Millroy Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge in Monon. He enjoyed fishing and going to church. Surviving with his wife is a sister, Shelby J. Judy of Monon. Graveside services at a later date. Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon is entrusted with his care.
