Fredrick E. Sheets, 60, of Wolcott, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Seton Specialty Hospital in St. Elizabeth Medical Center of Lafayette. He was born September 11, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Earl and Lillian (Smith) Sheets. He was a 1966 graduate of Remington High School. He lived the majority of his life in Wolcott. His marriage was to June Ellen England on January 27, 1968 in Trinity Lutheran Church of Goodland. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2003. Mr. Sheets was owner/operator of England Sheets Trucking in Wolcott for over 30 years. He was a very hard worker. Fred enjoyed fishing, camping and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. He loved the outdoors. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Wolcott and the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his children, Sharyl Stepp (husband: Gene) and Cindy Melin (husband: John) both of Fowler and Fredrick E. Sheets II of Wolcott. Fred loved spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters, Chelsy and Cheyenne and his dog, Wags. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. (EST) Sunday, March 1, 2009 in Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. (EST)on Monday, March 2, 2009 in Trinity Lutheran Church of Goodland. Rev. David Mueller to officiate. Interment to follow in Meadow Lake Cemetery of Wolcott.
