Spyke A. Rice, 49, of Lafayette, formerly of Edmonton, Kentucky, died at his son's residence on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 7:07 a.m. He was born in Lafayette on June 20, 1959. His marriage was to Jerusha Faye on November 25, 1979. They later divorced. Spyke was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed taking pictures, cars, computers, hunting, fishing, and swimming. Surviving is his father, Tony M. Rice (wife: Linda) of Kentucky; his mother Ruth Howard Coffman (husband: Morris) of Thorntown; a daughter, Candace Rice Loy; two sons, Jeremy Rice (wife: Amber) and Jason Rice (wife: Richlyn) all of Lafayette; two brothers, Clayton Rice (wife: Katrina) of Brookston, and Audie Rice of Tennessee; and a sister Tessa (Lou) Perdue of Delphi; and 3 grandchildren.
