Helen Mae Margison, of Wolcott, died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 03, 2008 at Whispering Pines of Monticello; she had been a resident there for the last five years. She had been in failing health the last couple months. She was born September 26, 1920 in Jasper County to the late Alonzo & Irene (Marchand) Chapman. She attended Milroy township schools. Her marriage was to Charles H. "Charlie" Margison on June 10, 1954. He died May 8, 1990. Mrs. Margison was a homemaker. She enjoyed hunting rocks and sewing. Surviving are three daughters, Fairie Jeffires (husband: Stan) of Brookston, Susan Bachman (husband: Mark) and LeAnn Sutton (husband: David) both of Wolcott; a son, David Margison of Watseka, Illinois; two sisters, Eva Yerk (husband: Lyle) of Brookston and Marie Ledford of Buffalo and a brother, Russell Chapman of West Point. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 in Meadow Lake Cemetery, Wolcott; the Rev. Joe Hornick will officiate. Preceding her in death with her husband are a brother, Dale Chapman and a sister, June Baxter. Foster-Clapper Funeral Home in Wolcott is entrusted with her care.
