Biographical Information:
Helen and Bob lived in Lafayette, Indiana from 1932 to 1962. While there Helen lived a very active life raising her children, working and modeling for L.S. Ayers at Market Square. She was active in the Congress Street Methodist Church, Republican Woman's Club, Mrs. Club, and was involved with the Lafayette Jeff PTA. In 1962 Helen and Bob bought the Parkview Motel in Reynolds, Indiana. While living in Reynolds, Helen and Bob met and became friends with Charles and Katie Wolf. From that time on the Scheffee's were a bi-partisan family. Also during their time in Reynolds, the Scheffee family suffered a terrible tragedy. The community of Reynolds reached out and gave great support and comfort. Helen returned to Monticello in 1981 to live closer to family. She was a member of the Monticello Untied Methodist Church and one of the Circle groups. Helen's greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marriage Information: On March 12, 1932 in Monticello, Indiana, she married Robert "Bob" Scheffee. He died June 14, 1967.
