Jeremy Jay Pugh Sr, of Monticello, Indiana passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at IU Arnett Health Hospital of Lafayette.  Jeremy had been seriously ill for the last 6 years. 

  He was born November 27, 1976 in Monticello, Indiana to Timothy and Vivian (Hurlburt) Pugh.  He was a 1994 graduate of Twin Lakes High School then attended Ball State University until becoming a father.

Jeremy had one son, Jeremy Jay "JP" Pugh Jr. who was a multi-sport athlete at Twin Lakes High School.  Jeremy's happiest days were watching his son compete in baseball, football and wrestling and spending time with him on the river.  They enjoyed fishing, boating and skateboarding together as well. 

  Jeremy worked for Girtz Industries and later Cives Steel of Wolcott for several years.

  Jeremy's heart was broken when his son JP died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 24, 2021.  Jeremy and JP truly were best friends.  Jeremy also truly adored his big brother, Tim Jr.

  Surviving is his mother, Vivian Abott and one brother Timothy Pugh Jr, both of Monticello, a stepfather Mike Abbott of Monticello, and two uncles Bert Hurlburt Jr and Byron Hurlburt.

  Preceding him in death with his son JP are his grandparents Bert & Audrey Hulburt and Lawrence & Gladys Pugh and one uncle Edward Hulburt and an aunt JoAnn Blackwell. 

  A private interment of Jeremy's ashes was held at Riverview IOOF Cemetery on Friday, March 8, 2024.  A memorial service is being planned by the family and will be announced when the times are available.
