Biographical Information:
Joseph was one of nine children born to Leopole and Katherine Wisinski. Being raised in difficult times during the depression and World War II, from an early age he always helped his family where he could. He joined the U.S. Air Force and was proud of having served his country during the Korean War. After his military service he returned home and began working for Griffith Labs, in the Chicago area. He married and started a family of which he had five sons. He purchased a small house in the Idaville area. He then moved his family there in the late 1970's, and himself in the early 1980's. He finished with 25 years of service at Griffith Labs. He worked at numerous factories in the Monticello area, being a veteran of the old RCA Plant and Landis Plastics, before finally landing in Delphi at the Globe Valve Plant, from which he retired. Joe enjoyed watching his children as they grew up, and babysitting his grandchildren. He was married for over 25 years, but that ended in a divorce. He also enjoyed a whole group of sports from baseball and softball to horse shoes and wrestling just to name a few. Joe was a very good story teller, he told stories about his early years growing up and many more about his life and his many amazing advantages. His proudest moments were the births of his children and that of his grandchildren. He gave very generously to his family and loved ones, without expecting anything in return; he always had thier interest at heart, even when times where most difficult in his life. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and will be missed by family members, friends and loved ones. A special Thank you to Karen Rauwolf and the staff at the Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center for watching over him; and with the care he was given. Many Thanks!
