Biographical Information:
Phyllis had lived in the White County all of her life, and was a 1945 graduate of the Idaville High School. She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church,of Monticello, Indiana, and the Phyllis Clawson Travel Club of rural Carroll County. Phyllis and her late husband Odean Werner had farmed in the Idaville, Indiana area all of their married lives. Phyllis's main job was to tend to the family's garden and care for her families needs. She canned and froze all the things she raised in the garden. Phyllis designed and made all of the clothes for her daughters, Patricia "Pat", and Peggy as well as for herself.

Marriage Information: On November 22, 1945 in Idaville, Indiana, she married Odean Werner. He died July 23, 2000.

(husband Monte ) Hicks of New Castle, Indiana;Grandson,Adam R. (wife Andi) Purdy of Birmingham, Alabama.
