Shirley had lived in the White and Carroll County area all of her life and was a 1953 graduate of Burnettsville High School of Burnettsville. After graduating from high school, she went to work at the old grain elevator in Burnettsville. Shirley then took a job at Myers Spring in Logansport and had worked there for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #81 of Monticello and the Women’s Auxiliary of the US Motor Speedway in Lake Cicott. Shirley loved spending time with all of her family and friends. Some of her favorite things to do were to take trips to the casino and sit on her back porch and enjoyed her cocktails. Shirley was loved by everyone that met her. Her family and friends were her passion and delight of each day. Shirley never gave up on her five-year battle with cancer.
She will forever be remembered for her jokes, smiles, and love for all.
