Biographical Information:
Carroll had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area since 1965, coming from Norton, Virginia.
He was a United States Army Veteran. After returning from the military, he went to work for his brother, Jack Isom, of the former Isom Construction of Reynolds, Indiana. Carroll then went and started his own trucking company "Carroll’s Trucking" of Monticello, Indiana, and hauled stone. He was a lifetime heavy equipment operator. Carroll had coached youth, babe ruth, and high school baseball in Monticello, Indiana, for numerous years. He and his late wife, MaryLou, were always the team mom and dad and hosted numerous parties. Carroll loved and enjoyed bowling (and had bowled a 300 game and was in the Bowling Hall of Fame), fishing, golfing (he was a left-handed golfer and had a single digit handicap), boating, and riding his motorcycle. He was the world’s biggest prankster and was always known for giving all and everyone a tough time (but all in fun). Carroll loved all his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. ***** The family would love to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Sheila Stonebraker and Joey Swartz, for all their love and care they gave their dad*****!!!
