Douglas R. (AKA Bob Alou, Rolo, Herman) McClure, 46, formerly of Wolcott, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2018 in St. Joseph County, IN.

He was born November 22, 1971 in Lafayette, IN to the late Robert D. McClure and Susan (Mathew) Greenburg, who survives. Doug was a 1990 graduate of Tri-County High School.

Doug was a member of Abate of Indiana Motorcycle Club. He worked for McClure Construction of Wolcott for many years and most recently was parts manager at Rowe Trucking of Lafayette for 15 years and also drove for Gene Wilkerson Trucking of Reynolds.

In his downtime, Doug enjoyed spending time outdoors, collecting NASCAR memorabilia, and billiards. Most importantly, Doug was known for his compassion to others and always offering a helping hand to anyone in need.

Surviving along with his mother is a daughter, Rebeccah McClure-Wood (husband: Michael) of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Jill Webb (husband: Mike) of Lafayette, and Diana Brettnacher of Wolcott. Doug is also survived by a large extended family.

Preceding him in death along with his father is a step-father, Norman Greenburg.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM (EST) Monday, April 9, 2018 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Tuesday, April 10, 2018 also at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the Douglas R. McClure Memorial at the Bank of Wolcott.
