Stephen “Stoney” L. Randolph, 62, of Lafayette, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center of Indianapolis.

He was born October 26, 1955 in Brookston to Samuel “CJ” and the late Gladys (Collier) Randolph. Stoney attended Frontier High School. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps serving 4 years stationed in California and Japan until his honorable discharge in 1977.

His marriage was to Brenda Segal in November of 2009. He was a member of American Legion Post 11 of Lafayette. Stoney started his career with Klooz Plumbing Supply of Lafayette where he eventually became partial owner and retired after 30 years.

He enjoyed spending his time golfing, watching sporting events on television, social gatherings with friends and family, caring for his dogs, and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He is survived by his father, CJ (wife: Jeanette) Randolph of Brookston; partner, Brenda Segal of Lafayette; siblings, Phyllis (husband: Richard) Johns of Monon, David (wife: Diane) Randolph of Brookston, Mylinda (husband: Robert) Shirley of Delphi, and Helen (husband: Randy) Pate of Lafayette. Also surviving is a step-son, Jason (wife: Beth) Segal and grandchildren, Jay and Brendon Segal.

Preceding him in death along with his mother are siblings, Bill Randolph and Brenda Kemp; niece and nephew, Anita Zook and Sammy Kemp.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12 PM (EST) Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery with military rites.

With the help of the Indiana Donor Network, Stoney was able to fulfill his wishes of helping out many people in need by the gift of tissue and organ donation.
