Connie Jean Buttice, 70, of Wolcott, passed away at 6:28 AM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital of Monticello.

She was born October 8, 1947 in Lafayette to the late John B. and Marguerite (Cooper) Burks. She was a 1965 graduate of Wolcott High School.

Her first marriage was to Richard Inman; he preceded her in death. She later married Charles Michael Buttice. Connie was a member of Palestine Christian Church of Wolcott.

Connie worked several years at Peoples Grocery Store and later Wolcott Grocery Store. She also worked for over 12 years as custodian at Tri-County Intermediate School. She enjoyed spending time playing bingo with friends and most of all, cherished time with her great-grandson Lucas.

Connie is survived by her children, Sherrie Auxier of Wolcott, and Michael Buttice of Lafayette; siblings, Larry (wife: Judy) Burks of TN, and Darlene Melton of Wolcott. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Ashley (Preston Voglund) Auxier of Brook, IN; great-grandson, Lucas Voglund.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a sister, Karen Burks and step-father, Lorin Foulks.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (EST) Monday, January 15, 2018 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Tuesday, January 16, 2018 also at the funeral home. Pastor Guy Brown of Palestine Christian Church to officiate. Interment to follow in Meadow Lake Cemetery of Wolcott.
