Fred H. Kalbaugh Jr., 82, of Lafayette, died at 6:07 AM, Sunday, January 7, 2018.

 

He was born on September 14, 1935 in Middletown, OH to Fred H. Kalbaugh Sr. and Dorothy Kalbaugh Dosh. He was married to Emma A. (Wells) Kalbaugh on February 20, 1970 and she preceded him in death in 2013.   Fred and Emma had lived in Franklin, OH before moving to Lafayette in 2005.  

 

Fred worked at Mound Laboratory in Miamisburg, OH, where he served as a firefighter before retiring as an electrician.

 

He is survived by siblings Karl Kalbaugh (wife: Nancy) (MO) and Fay Siner (OK) and was preceded in death by siblings Virgil Kalbaugh and Phyllis Neidy.

 

Surviving are his two sons, Stephen Kalbaugh (wife: Susan) of Royston, GA, and Kirby Kalbaugh (wife: Tracy) of Lafayette, IN and Deborah Small (husband: Patrick) who he considered a daughter, grandsons, Eric (wife: Amber) (GA), and Steven, Kobe, and Jordan (IN); three granddaughters, Alyssa (GA), Emma and Kaitlyn (IN); and two great-granddaughters, Kinsley Rae and Nevaeh Callie (GA).

 

There will be a celebration of his life later this year and he will be interred at Springboro Cemetery, Springboro, OH.
