Janet Blanchette, 81, of Wolcott, passed away at 8:13 AM, January 3, 2018 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. She was born December 8, 1936 to the late Harold and Ethel (Crosby) Hoppe. She graduated from Wolcott High School in 1954.

 

Her marriage was to Kenneth Blanchette on June 2, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington, he survives. Over the years Janet worked at Dwyer Instruments and Indiana Ribbon. She enjoyed cooking and baking, puzzles, and most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.

 

Surviving with her husband are children, Keith (Lou Anne) Blanchette of Wolcott, Julie Brennan of Lafayette, and Kevin (Angie) Blanchette of Clermont, FL; sisters, Velma Sutton of Francesville, IN and Mary Mann of Goshen, IN; grandchildren, Nikki, Aaron, Adam, Angel, Whitney, Mackenzie, Kacy, Kari, Chelsea, Ciera, and Cassea. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren.

 

Preceding her death along with her parents is brother Paul Hoppe, and sister, Doris Garber.

 

Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until time of Funeral Service at 1 PM (EST) Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Pastor Jeff Smith to officiate. Entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.

 

Memorials may be made in Janet's name to the American Heart Association or Cancer Association.
