Marceline R. Budde, 84, of Remington, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:35 PM at Rensselaer Care Center. She was born June 27, 1933 in Jasper County, IN to the late Merl and Nell (Whited) Strain. She was a 1951 graduate of Remington High School where she was a member of the Sunshine Society and a Remington Riflette cheerleader.

Her marriage was to Robert L. Budde on July 3, 1951 in Reynolds at St. James Lutheran Church.

Marceline was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Rensselaer. She volunteered for several years in Monticello printing Braille Bibles. Marceline was the office secretary for DeKalb Ag in Remington for 23 years.

Marceline loved cooking for her family and friends, watching sporting events of all kinds, bird watching, working in her flower beds, and time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving along with her husband are sons, Dale (Terri) Budde of Remington, and Brian (Amy) Budde of Indianapolis. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a son, Alan Budde, and 4 brothers.

Friends may call from 9 AM (CST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (CST) Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Church of Rensselaer. Pastor Benjamin Hertel to officiate. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marceline’s name to St. Luke Lutheran Church of Rensselaer or The Michael J. Fox Foundation to further Parkinson disease research.
