Elizabeth Ellen Lehe, 97, of Brookston, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at University Place of West Lafayette.

She was born September 17, 1919 in Round Grove to the late John and Mary (Connell) Quigg and was a 1937 graduate of Round Grove High School.

Her marriage was to Simon Lehe on April 13, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1999.

Mrs. Lehe was a homemaker who helped her husband with the family farm. She was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, the John Purdue Club and Psi Iota Xi sorority of Brookston.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, painting and was an avid follower of Purdue sports.

   Elizabeth personified class and grace and was a model of how to treat others. Her family was the most important thing to her.

Surviving are her sons, Don Lehe (wife: Kathy), Richard Lehe (wife: Jacquie), Dale Lehe (wife: Becky) all of Brookston and a daughter, Denise Zabilski (husband: Steve) of Phoenix, AZ and her grandchildren, Nicole Collins (husband: Mike), Christopher Lehe (wife: Kim), Ann Fryberger (husband: Joel), Patrick Lehe, Craig Lehe (wife: Hayley), Adam Lehe (wife: Gina), Mary Elizabeth Jones (husband: Danny), Catherine Zabilski, Matthew Zabilski, Kylee Lehe (fiancé: Andrew Mains), Kinsey Howe (husband: Aaron), Cody Lehe, Abbey Lehe (fiancé: Ryan Chapman) and Zach Lehe (fiancé: Carlie Einsele). Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are two sisters, Alice Sheets and Mary Catherine-Cain-Kennedy.

Friends may call Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston and also Monday, May 8, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament (2224 Sacramento Drive, West Lafayette); Fr. Ted Dudzinski to officiate. Interment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette.
