Mary S. Calvo, 93, of Wethersfield, Connecticut, passed away at 6:48 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Creasy Springs Legacy of Lafayette, Indiana.

She was born April 22, 1923 in Hartford, CT to the late Salvatore and Maria Carmella (Failla) Santangelo.

Her marriage was to Vincent “Jimmy” Calvo on June 15, 1946 in Hartford, CT; he preceded her in death on July 4, 2009.

Mrs. Calvo was a book keeper and Junior Accountant and a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wethersfield, CT.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cryptograms.

Surviving is her daughter, Carol–Ann Reisert (husband: Dennis) of Chalmers, IN; a son-in-law, Martin Ladner (wife: Stephanie) of Montgomery, AL and her grandchildren, James (Aimee) Reisert, Amanda (Kyle) Sorensen, Ashley (Jesse) Reisert, Kira (Colby) Darlage, Mary-Lorraine (Michael) Cox, Vincent (Joshua) Ladner and Michelle Salery. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Evan, Matthew, Emma, Blake, Thatcher, Matthew, Miranda, Madison, Andrew, Lana and Raymond and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death with her parents and husband is a daughter, Ann-Marie Ladner and three brothers, Carl, Ralph and John Santangelo.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds (601 S. Kenton); Fr. Fintan Cummings to officiate.
