Melvin R. Hebert, 86, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly from Remington, Indiana, died Monday, July 18 at St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel, Indiana.

 

He was born January 4, 1930, in St. Anne, Illinois to Alfred and Della Hebert.  He was married to Marilyn Boughton on February 11, 1950. His parents, wife, two brothers, Clifford and Donald and one sister, Rosa May are deceased.

 

Mr. Hebert moved from Papineau, Illinois to Remington, Indiana in 1965 where he and his wife were owners of the Remington Locker Plant. He retired in 1996. He moved to Carmel Health Care and Living in September 2013.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Ellen (Dennis) Clark of Zionsville, Indiana; one son, Jeffery (Liza) Hebert of Indianapolis; one granddaughter, JenLynn (Tom) Parker of Shorewood, Illinois, one grandson, Jason (Sarah) of Thorntown, Indiana; great grandchildren Grant Parker, Brooklynn Parker and Charlotte Hebert. Melvin is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be 9-11:30 a.m. (EST) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, July 25, 2016 followed by a funeral mass with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Private family inurnment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Remington.

 

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington.
