Doris E. Miller, 90, of Kentland, passed away at 5:47 PM, June 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital of Lafayette. She was born October 21, 1925 in Fowler, IN to the late Wm Earl Myers and Lucy Agnes Yarno. Doris was a 1944 graduate of Freeland Park High School.

Her marriage was to Ralph D. Miller on February 23, 1946 in Lafayette, IN. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2009. Doris was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 23, VFW 1154, St. Joseph Catholic Church Parishioner, and St. Joseph Rosary Society.

Doris worked for many years cleaning for local motels until she cleaned private residences and offices. Doris and Ralph also owned the Maytag Repair Shop in Kentland.

Doris enjoyed working alongside her husband in the Maytag business for several years. In their retirement years, the two enjoyed crafting wood items, attending craft shows and flea markets.

She is survived by a brother, Phillip Myers of Yeagerstown, PA; her niece and caregiver, Deborah Henady-Korba of Lafayette. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are siblings, Juanita Ropp, Raymond Myers, Charles Myers; niece, Brenda Woodruff; nephew, Matthew Myers.

Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until the time of funeral Mass at 11 AM (CST), Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland. Father Rob Bernotas to officiate. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
