Florence K. (Katie) Blake, 96, of Kentland, passed away at 10:59 AM, March 27, 2016 at Iroquois Memorial Resident Home of Watseka, IL.

 

She was born May 13, 1919 in Freeland Park, IN to the late Robert and Fronie (Selz) Park. Katie was a 1936 graduate of Freeland Park High School.

Her marriage was to George N. Blake on February 25, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.

 

Katie attended Raub United Methodist Church, where she was known as the dishwasher. She also enjoyed spending her time gardening, crocheting, tatting, and many other crafts.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Blake of Kentland and several nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

 

Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until the time of funeral service 11 AM (CST) Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Pastor Chris Kosary of the Raub United Methodist Church to officiate. Interment to follow in Fleming Cemetery of Raub, IN.
