Florence Ethelyn Watts, age 99, of Kentland, passed away at 2:15 AM, December 31, 2015 at Sheldon Healthcare of Sheldon, IL. She was born on December 27, 1916 to Bert and Pearl (Booty) McKimson, near Sheldon in Iroquois County, Illinois.

Her early life was lived on the farm and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1934. She was a telephone operator until her marriage to Donald Watts in 1936. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1972. Most of her married life was spent in Wolcott, Remington, Goodland, and Kentland, IN areas. Those who knew her well knew of her great home cooking skills.

She was a lifelong member of the Wadena Baptist Church. She loved to write poems, read, and paint.

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Charles (Ellen) Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Campbell of Seibring, FL, and Mrs. Charles (Donna) Hollingsworth of Kentland. Also surviving are her brother, Bert M. McKimson, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, a son-in-law, 1 grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of funeral service 12 (Noon) (CST), Monday, January 4,2016 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Rev. Chuck Smith to officiate. Interment to follow in Goodland Cemetery of Goodland, IN.
